SB 17 - THE BRUNCH BILL
In 2018, the Georgia General Assembly passed SB 17, which authorized counties and municipalities which have previously approved sales of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight) to enact an ordinance to change the times for Sunday sales to 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight).

On July 16, 2018, City Council adopted an ordinance (ORD-04-2018) amending the hours for Sunday sales for consumption on premises, conditional upon the approval of a referendum.  As the referendum passed 72.77% (yes) to 27.23% (no), the new ordinance went into effect November 7, 2018.

All Council ward seats are city-at-large positions with geographic residency requirements. The term for the elected officials below will be from January 1, 2019-December 31, 2022.
